Finials are decorative tops that can be added to the fence posts, enhancing the overall design. Typically, these are made from the same material as the fence and can come in various styles, from simple spheres to intricate designs. Finials not only contribute to the visual character of the fence but also serve as an additional barrier against potential damage.

Obviously, the aluminium frames and panels work wonderfully on windows, but they are just as good on doors and glass wall systems as well. With this in mind, you can definitely reach out to your architect or interior designer, and have them install colored aluminium profiles and frames in your homes – and offices too, if you wish.

Think of the cast iron frying pan you probably have in your kitchen. Unlike a stainless steel saute pan which likely has a handle made of a separate piece that had to be attached to the main body of the pan, your cast iron is all one continuous piece that was formed together in a mold.

Another place that is tough to tell the quality of the hardware online is those decorative tips on top of the picket called finials.  Many places charge a hefty upgrade fee per panel to add finials to the fence panel.  The worst part is these are often cheap die-cast, aluminum or plastic that ship loose and you have to glue or press them on.  The difference between the fence panel material and finial material will be come apparent over time when the dissimilar metal coatings (or materials like plastic) fade at a different rate and really start to look like a cheap add-on.  Be sure to check what those finial tips are made from and how they are attached.  Our Stronghold Iron uses solid cast-iron finial tips that are welded directly to the picket like the image below.
